011: Fortune Cookies
A conversation I had today reminded me about something interesting.
About a month ago, I got a fortune cookie that said “Don’t be hasty. Prosperity will soon knock on your door.”. I seem to recall lamenting the fact that I didn’t have a girl in my life. Guess what? a few weeks later, it was brought to my attention that a girl (who I’m now dating) had a big crush on me. Coincidence? I’m doubting it.
Sure, sometimes if you get a fortune cookie it may say something stupid like “don’t do drugs”. But when you actually get a fortune, pay attention to it. You might wind up in the midst of a self-fulfilling prophecy. This here link, albeit funny, shows what having a fortune cookie fortune come true or false can do to people. I recommend reading it, it’s a pretty funny story.
Well, that’s all from me. It’s kinda disjointed, but i hope you look at fortune cookies in a new, happier way.
PS: We’ve had over 200 pageviews so far!
PPS: Apparently, Google really likes me.

010: NINTENDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO part 2
Alright. So this morning i woke up bright and early to camp out at my local Gamestop to get a Nintendo Wii.
I get to the store at about 5:30. I’m 9th in line. My friends, who were near the front of the line, say that they hear that there are going to be 9 Wiis. Sweet.
We get into the store at around 7:00, and it turns out that they only have…drumroll….8 Wiis. And I was 9th.

Well, it looks like I’m going to have to wait a few more days for the next shipment to come in.

009: I Hate Banner Ads.

Do you see this ridiculousness that banner ads have reduced us to? I certainly don’t want to slap this poor man’s belly. Look at him! Him and his angry man-tits could strike back at anny waking moment.
I’ll post more as I find them. You readers should totally hit me up with them as well.

008: NINTENDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Here’s the problem of not getting a preorder for the Wii or not camping out at a wal-mart/target to get one.
TARGET OPERATOR: “Hi, this is Target. How can I help you?”
ME: “Electronics, please.”
TARGET OPERATOR: “Sure, just a moment.”
hold music….
TARGET OPERATOR: “Electronics, how can I help you?”
ME: “Do you have any Nintendo Wiis in stock?”
TARGET OPERATOR: “Actually, every store within 60 miles of here is sold out.”
ME: “Oh…ok. Well, thanks anyway.”
Repeat about 10 times at various retailers.
You hear that? That’s the sound of shattered dreams.
I’m kidding. It’s not actually that big of a deal to me, as I can get one later this week.
I hope everyone had a good weekend. I know I did.

007: Special Secret-Agent Related Post
Actually, this post has nothing to do with secret agents. I just wanted to do that title because hey, 007, James bond, Casino Royale coming out this weekend…don’t you judge me.
Actually, when i had this post envisioned in my mind, I had a couple of things to talk about that’s be Philosophies that i’ll get to later, like the overcommercialization of Christmas, or luck. But that’s really not what I felt in the mood to talk about.
What I want to show you all, my faithful readers, is something that we ALL deserve to have at least once a day: a good, refreshing nap.
I recently stumbled upon a software called Pzizz that claims to help you have better naps. Now, while I obviously can’t afford this software as I’m currently saving my monies for the Wii launch next week, I would like to share with you all the wonders of this website and its super fun nap time software. Soundtrack.
They sent me a free download for going there, a 15-minute nap track that I listened to tonight when i started to fall alseep whilst reading for English class. Let me tell you, I never had such a good nap in all of my days of teenagedom. Everyone, do yourself a favor and click that link. Take 15 or 20 minutes to yourself, then listen to that track and drift off into wonderful slumber.
Also. Expect more frequent updates, now that football season is basically over and I’ll have more free time to do stuff.
Happy napping, everyone!

006: My First Reviews
Ok. So here’s the real post. i’m gonna review some cool new things I found recently.
First up:

Yup. This book is basically completely and utterly ridiculous. It’s a book of nonsensical random facts that, in the presented form, turn out to be incredibly hilarious. My personal favorite section is “Hobo Matters”, in which you learn a comprehensive history of the hobo. I reccommend picking this book up if you’re looking for a good laugh or want to learn some BS facts to make yourself look smarter.
Secondly:

This new CD by indie-type band TV On The Radio. My friend Travis hooked me up with the idea to get this CD, and I am glad I did. The whimsical lyrics combined with the vast variety of musical styles presented on this album make for an altogether enjoyable listening experience. Hurry and get it soon, so you can get the bonus track version. And be sure and listen to these songs first:
well, that’s it. See you guys later this week.
