Happy new year. I had a good one myself, lots of cool stuff happened to me. I’ve actually got a few new years resolutions down the pipeline, which i’ll probably save for a more in-depth post. But for all 10 of you who read this, happy new year, and expect a new post soon.

Greetings, one and everyone. This entry is being written from my couch, using the Wii’s browser, which released today. Nifty, eh?

Here’s the problem of not getting a preorder for the Wii or not camping out at a wal-mart/target to get one.

TARGET OPERATOR: “Hi, this is Target. How can I help you?”
ME: “Electronics, please.”
TARGET OPERATOR: “Sure, just a moment.”
hold music….
TARGET OPERATOR: “Electronics, how can I help you?”
ME: “Do you have any Nintendo Wiis in stock?”
TARGET OPERATOR: “Actually, every store within 60 miles of here is sold out.”
ME: “Oh…ok. Well, thanks anyway.”

Repeat about 10 times at various retailers.

You hear that? That’s the sound of shattered dreams.

I’m kidding. It’s not actually that big of a deal to me, as I can get one later this week.

I hope everyone had a good weekend. I know I did.

So, thanks to the wondermous discovery of the Americas by Christopher Columbus in good ol’ 1492, we get basically one of the best excuses to have a 3 day weekend.

So i’d like to create this post in hopes that Chris Columbus checks thick blog from heaven or hell or wherever he is, and smiles upon civilization. Thank you, Mr. Columbus. You’ve made those clamoring for a 3 day weekend everywhere very happy.

I’ve posted up a set of links to some cool little webcomics, and i’ll probably just put some other cool-type links there later. But take a read, if you can. Those are some nice little comics.

Ok. So today we played against one of the best football teams in the state. Now, our football team is fairly decent this year, and we got pretty cocky. So they brought out a junked-out car during the pep rally for us to hit with a sledgehammer for a dollar. That was the best dollar I spent this week.

It got me thinking – why don’t more people look to gestalt therapy to solve their problems? Beating the shit out of something is always fun in my opinion, and as long as it stays controlled then what’s the problem?

Well, that’s my 2 cents on that. Beating stuff with a hammer is very fun.

So, this name came about through a series of tough deliberation.

First, I asked Mr. Alligator for help:
“No spoons please”
“You accept thoughts”
“I rewind”

Then, i did a name anagram thing:
“Gear Rhythm Is Jolt”
“Thermal Girth Joy”

Then, i happened to allow my friend to stumble upon a good amalgamation of the 2. And thus, The Rhythm Rewind now exists. Congraturations.
